GUN-SHY BRIDE (3) by B.J. Daniels: Game warden Luke Crawford is on the trail of a poaching ring and the woman he left behind, but McCall Winchester has her own trail to follow -- hopefully the one that leads to the truth behind her father's mysterious disappearance nearly 30 years before. Is the body recently discovered in the woods really her dad's, and, if so, who killed him? Adding to the twisting plot is Luke's ex-game warden uncle, his ne'er-do-well cousin, McCall's wounded and brassy mother, her unique position as the town's first female deputy and her estranged grandmother. Though the plot is interesting to unravel, the characters don't grab your attention enough to make you care.
