Book Review

THE GUY NEXT DOOR
by Susan Donovan, Victoria Dahl, Lori Foster

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Anthology
Sensuality: SCORCHER

RT Rating

Three stories of ultra-sexy heroes paired up with heroines who can benefit greatly from their sexual interest are presented in these borderline erotic tales of sexual desire fulfilled. Though well written, not all end with an HEA — yet — and a bit more character development would have been nice.

“Ready, Set, Jett” by Foster has the no-strings-attached affair with Jett Sutter working fine for Natalie Alexander, but Jett is surprised to find himself wanting more. In “Gail’s Gone Wild” by Donovan, staid professor Gail Chapman chaperones her teenage daughter and a friend on spring break in Key West and ends up in a hot affair with sexy sea captain Jesse, not realizing he’s famous author Jesse Baptista. Dahl’s “Just One Taste” has Eric Donovan working to get Donovan Brothers’ Brewery more exposure and respect. He doesn’t have time for an affair with Beth Cantrell, especially since her business is an erotica shop for women. (HQN, Mar., 384 pp., $7.99)
