Jade and Tanner and Hannah and Matt are two couples who are about to have their faith tested in HALFWAY TO FOREVER (4). Even though Hannah remarried, she still grieves over the loss of her first husband and eldest daughter. Just as she and Matt decide to raise a foster child and a bond is formed, someone threatens to take the little girl away. Jade and Tanner have put their relationship back together and are rejoicing that she is pregnant. Their rejoicing quickly dissipates when the doctor has some bad news. Emotional and well-written, this book seems to provide a first-hand glimpse at the struggles and successes each couple endures. Karen Kingsbury writes with warmth, endearing her believable characters to readers. (Apr., 350 pp., $11.99)
