Nina Bruhns' Hard Case Cowboy (3) brings together two opposites who are vying for the same thing: ownership of a ranch. Rhiannon O'Brannoch leaves her homeland of Ireland and travels to Arizona to live with her uncle. Thinking that her uncle intends to give the ranch to her so that she can start over in life, she is unprepared for cowboy Redhawk Jackson, who believes that the ranch rightfully will belong to him. Their clash of wills over the ownership of the ranch keeps them at odds with each other--but not out of each other's arms. Someone else wants the ranch too, and this throws a little bit of danger into an otherwise slow, one-dimensional story.
