Ballard delivers a pleasant little Christmas cozy set in an eccentric Southern town with an angelic sleuth. Pour the tea, set out the cookies and settle back in front of a fire for this charming tale of caroling, cookies and murder.

Stone's Throw, S.C., is busy organizing for the holiday season when Lucy Nan Pilgrim, with a little help from her guardian angel, Augusta Goodnight, discovers a body on her grandmother's abandoned estate. As she pokes into the murder, Lucy Nan suspects this death is related to one family's past tragedy. As more suspects emerge, another body is discovered and one of her friends is poisoned. Lucy Nan needs all the help she can get from her friends and Augusta
to get to the bottom of these crimes.
