This debut of the Green Pines series sparkles like the light of the silvery moon. Rogers has included witches, ghosts and werewolves who prowl across the pages, and the fight scenes are terrifying. Eden and Jay are a great team as warriors — and even better as lovers, since they definitely sizzle between the sheets. Haunted Sanctuary is a fantastic and absorbing introduction of what’s to come that will engage readers all the way up to the heart-stopping finish.

Eden Green has always struggled with the dark secrets surrounding her family, especially that of her cousin, whose favorite pastime is howling at the moon. It’s tough being a small-town girl in boring Clover, Tenn. Eden yearns for adventure and excitement, but being bitten by a werewolf isn’t exactly what she had in mind. Luckily she has Police Chief Jay Ancheta by her side to help her stay safe, but little does she know he’s a werewolf, too. As their raw passion for each other escalates, so does the fight between the wolf packs. The battle for survival is vicious, and hearts could be shattered in the melee.
