HE COULD BE THE ONE
by Elizabeth Bevarly

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Wyatt Culver hasnt seen Eve Van Dormer since their disastrous prom night twenty years ago. Eves eccentric businessman father, Luther Van Dormer, had packed up his two daughters the next day and left Woodhaven, Ohio under cover of night. Now, 20 years later, Luther contacts Wyatt and his partner Julian Varga for a most unusual job. Luther wants Wyatt to kidnap his daughter Eve to prevent her from attending their high school reunion.

Kidnapping is not their usual business practice, but Luther is quite serious, and he fears for both his daughters. It seems that Luther left Woodhaven after a business deal gone bad, and there are those who still hold a grudge. Eve is recovering from a marriage that nearly destroyed her spirit, and since her father wont give her a legitimate reason for not attending the reunion, she is determined to be there. Wyatts sudden reappearance in her life dredges up many old feelings, some good, some bad. With both Van Dormer girls intent on getting their own way, both Wyatt and Julian are in for the ride of their lives.

Ms. Bevarly continues to carve out her own distinctive place in the world of romance fiction. Her unique mix of humor, pathos, romance and fun blends magnificently. (Apr., 384 pp., $5.99)
