HEALING DR. ALEXANDER (4.5) by Tracy Wolff: After getting shot while working for a charity in Somalia, Dr. Jack Alexander moves to Atlanta to work at a clinic and meets attorney Sophie Connors and her two young sons. At first unwilling to believe he can still work, Jack gives in to a friend’s urging and takes the job at the clinic. Despite an immediate attraction to Sophie, Jack’s experiences in Somalia and his inability to be a surgeon any longer could hurt their chances at a relationship. Wolff’s story is an entertaining read with likable, well-drawn characters and sparkling dialogue.
