HEALING THE SOLDIER’S HEART (4) by Lily George: Orphan Lucy Williams feels blessed that she has secured the position of governess to Lord Bradbury’s daughters in 1818 Bath. This has given her the opportunity to help Ensign James Rowland, who has returned from Waterloo basically mute. James’ introduction to Lucy makes life seem less bleak and unforgiving. As he improves, he realizes that Lucy is the woman for him. But he is above her in station, and Lucy’s sure his family will not accept her. This final book in the Brides of Waterloo trilogy provides an intricate look into the lives of a more common couple of the Regency era. The problems they face and the love they find make for a pleasant romance.
