HEART FAILURE
by Richard L. Mabry

Genre: Inspirational, Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Mabry’s latest medical thriller is a mix of danger, mystery and just the right amount of romance. The evidence trails laid out by the characters allow the reader to play along in attempting to uncover the surprise reveal. The characters demonstrate ways to bridge the chasm that develops between us and God, reminding us that God is always in control.

Dr. Carrie Markham is planning to marry Adam Davidson when she learns that she doesn’t really know him at all. After they are shot at, Adam reveals that he is on the run. He left the witness protection program and assumed a new identity. While his ex-father-in-law had powerful connections, and it could be a family member harboring a grudge, there is the possibility that Carrie is the target of a disgruntled patient — or it could be a vendetta against Adam. Is Carrie willing to risk her life for a second chance at love? (THOMAS NELSON, Oct., 336 pp., $15.99)
