Diane Noble beautifully portrays life in the Smokey Mountains in HEART OF GLASS (4.5). Fairwyn March is a mountain girl with a voice as pure as crystal. She loves her Poppy and her home, but an outsider's visit stirs in her a yearning to know more about the world. When Zebulon Deforest offers her the chance of a lifetime, she takes iteven though her Poppy is dead-set against it. Being away from the mountain isn't quite what she dreamed of and eventually, it seems her Poppy was right. With so much loss and heartache, will she ever find God's peace and forgiveness? This one should top your reading list! (Apr., 384 pp., $11.99)
