Book Review

HEART OF LIES
by Jill Marie Landis

Genre: Inspirational, Historical Romance

RT Rating

The second book in the Irish Angel series is filled with secrets, romance and Pinkerton agents. The characters are amazing; they try hard to stay on the good side of the law, however sometimes that backfires in unimaginable ways.

Maddie Grande was raised in a tribe of child thieves in New Orleans, but she would like to find her real family. Her “brothers” are making it impossible; they have kidnapped a child and forced Maddie to make sure the child stays hidden until the ransom is paid.

Tom Abbott is the Pinkerton agent assigned to locate and bring to justice the persons responsible. When Tom meets Maddie, they are instantly attracted to each other, but Tom suspects Maddie is somehow involved in his case and really can’t afford to get involved with her.
