The first Tales of Goldstone title is delightful. With a delicate voice that spins a sweet tale of fantasy and romance, Heartless features a heroine readers will enjoy journeying with, even in the dangerous times.
Princess Una is anxious for suitors to start, well, suiting. She pictures her prince as a handsome, charming man. Then Prince Aethlbald proclaims his love and asks for her hand. Since they hardly know each other, and he is somber and not physically appealing, it is fairly easy for Una to turn him down. Then the Dragon King arrives and Una gives her heart to him. When she realizes her mistake, will it be too late to change things? (BETHANY HOUSE, Jul., 368 pp., $14.99)
