Highlander Duncan MacTavish learns that to inherit, he must marry an English woman chosen by his grandfather. Duncan travels to London to meet his grandfather and his fiancie, Lady Olivia.

Olivia has been hosting Sabrina Lambert, a country girl in town for the season. The striking Olivia overshadows Sabrina, but she does not care. Sabrina believes the rumors of her familys bad blood, have already damaged her chances to find a suitable husband. Yet it is Sabrina, with her quick wit and kind nature, who enchants Duncan. Yet her past and his engagement make it seem impossible for them to marry. But Olivias schemes and matchmaking friends conspire to unite the pair.

Charming and witty, with delightful dialogue, this comedy of manners is a light, frothy tale that borrows from a traditional Regency plotline. Johanna Lindsey writes with joy and pleasure that is sure to make you smile. SENSUAL (Apr., 400 pp., $7.99—Hardcover published May 2000)
