THE HEIRESS'S HOMECOMING
THE HEIRESS’S HOMECOMING (4.5) by Regina Scott: Widower William Wentworth, Earl of Kendrick, has no desire for Samantha Everard to marry his son, James. Not only is she eight years his senior, but he blames the Everard family for his older brother’s murder. Though she knows James loves her, Samantha will not marry him, even if it means the loss of her home and her fortune. As for Will, she finds herself falling for him, but knows that he can’t accept her because she is an Everard. This fourth in the Everard Legacy series matches up the final Everard in a delightful and intriguing way. The conflict the main characters face is skillfully presented, and the solution to the mystery is done very well.
