This is an interesting, fantastical twist on how one god views the world and love. It's also an ultimately sad story that may disappoint readers hoping for a happily-ever-after. The hero is rather two dimensional and more of an antihero. In the end his character does develop some, but there's confusion as to who and what he is supposed to be.

Hades is lonely. He wishes for
a true partner and turns to the mortal world to find one. He discovers Kate,
a strong, also lonely, woman, and courts her in the disguise of businessman Owen Glendower.

But his lack of understanding concerning human relationships has him forcing Kate to make unsuitable choices. In the end he might just discover what sacrificing for love really means.
