HELLO, IT'S ME
by Wendy Markham

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Craft artist Annie Harlowe
is a struggling young widow with two children. Although her beloved husband died nearly a year ago, she still hangs onto the hope that someday he'll return or, at the very least, be able to speak to her again. She keeps his cell phone, just so she can hear his voice on the message. One day, the unthinkable happens. He answers.

Multimillionaire Thom Brannock is
a man who's reached the breaking point in his privileged life. Sick of the work that consumes his time and the women who are sophisticated but fake, he desperately wants a change. He gets his
wish when he meets Annie. What neither Thom nor Annie knows is that her late husband is the one playing matchmaker up in heaven.

Touching and humorous by turns, Markham's novel will keep you glued to the page. This is a fascinating read with a premise that rewards the reader throughout, thanks to compelling characters, thought-provoking plot twists and masterful pacing. (Mar., 400 pp., $6.50)
