THE HEN HOUSE
by Sharon Sala

Genre: Historical Romance
Sensuality: MILD
Setting: Late 1800s Colorado

RT Rating

This anticipated final installment in Sala's Amen Trail trilogy has arrived. Although the romantic tension between the hero and heroine is lackluster and ill defined, the story is filled with touching comedy and drama. Fans of the series will not be disappointed.

Letty Murphy Potter is wealthy beyond her means, comfortably in love with her husband, Eulis, and she rules her goldmine with an iron fist. After Eulis is killed in front of her, Letty slowly rebuilds her life and prepares for the birth of their child, with some help from her friends, including Robert Lee, who reveals his love for her.

Though Robert understands Letty's need to remain faithful to her husband's memory, it's only a matter of time until they give in to their feelings and become a family. (Loveland Press, Sep., 278 pp., $14.95)
