ON HER GUARD
by Beverly Barton

Genre: Romantic Suspense, General Romantic Suspense

RT Rating

A kidnapping in Golnar brings Ellen Denby and Nikos Pandarus together again. For Ellen, it stirs up memories of a two-week affair 14 years ago and of the joy—and horror—that resulted from it. Nikos once again meets the woman he never could forget and the love he could never claim. But this time, a seven-year-old girl's life is at stake. Will Ellen and Nikos be able to put the past behind them long enough to work together to save her?

ON HER GUARD, part of Beverly Barton's The Protector series, will keep
you on the edge of your seat. The heroine and hero are complicated people, especially the heroine. Her past may be hard for some folks to read about. Beware, this does have a child in peril. The visits with the secondary characters make you eager to read their stories. Altogether, this is an excellent story. (Nov., 304 pp., $5.99)
