HER LONE COWBOY
HER LONE COWBOY (4) by Donna Alward: Wounded in Afghanistan, Capt. Noah Laramie returns home to recuperate and reconnect with his brother, who's about to marry. Coping with the loss of his right arm is challenging, particularly when Noah's asked to be the best man. He finds that the only one he can confide in is the maid of honor, teacher Lily Germaine, an outspoken woman. Lily is afraid to love because of a failed elopement in her teens and doesn't see a future for herself with Noah, whose commitment is to the military. Well-defined characters and a powerful conflict drive the plot, and the story's especially touching because of Noah's plight and inner strength.
