Dana Logan is happily married but has devoted herself to her children and is finding it hard to leave them alone long enough for them to learn to take care of themselves. When she's stranded and cut off from cell phone service in a small town during a snowstorm, she learns how to reinvent herself and let her children learn the lessons they need. Off Her Rocker (3), by Jennifer Archer, rises above what might have been an overused plot thanks to the fresh atmosphere of a small, heavily Hispanic town. A light paranormal element adds interest, although possible realistic explanations exist.
