A Founder's Day celebration brings Nia Molner and her twin, Trina, to Elk Creek, a small town co-founded by their great-grandfather. Six weeks prior, Trina visited Elk Creek and ended up in Cole Heller's bed. Unsure of her feelings for him, she fled. Now she has to figure out how to tell this cowboy he's about to be a father.

Nia stands ready to lend her support to her distraught sister. While watching Trina and Cole's romance unfold, she meets his sexy brother, Clay. Nia feels an instant attraction to him, but she valiantly tries resisting his charms.

Her Sister's Keeper has a promising story but falls short on characterization. Nia's and Trina's indecisiveness grates, and Clay and Cole are flat, undeveloped characters. Pade's single title connects to her Silhouette Special Edition miniseries, A Ranching Family. (Mar., 448 pp., $5.99)
