A P.I. leads wealthy banker Michael Trockmorton to Bud's Diner as he searches for his runaway niece. Josie Miller has taken young Lisa under her wing but didn't realize she lied about her age. Lisa doesn't want to go back with her uncle, who placed her in a boarding school after her mother died; she wants to be part of a real family. But Michael can't see himself as a family man. Maybe Josie can help him change his mind. Debut author Missy Tippens' aptly titled Her Unlikely Family (4) is a great, warm and inviting story.
