HER VALENTINE SHERIFF
HER VALENTINE SHERIFF (4) by Deb Kastner: Deputy Sheriff Eli Bishop cannot believe his luck. He is terrified of dogs, and he is the one chosen to have a K-9 partner, Bullet. To make matters worse, his ex-fiancée’s sister, Mary Travis, will be the one training them. No one knows about his phobia, and he has no plans to tell them. Mary has always had a crush on him, and it’s hard for her to keep that in check as she struggles to make Eli and Bullet a team. When a tornado hits their town, Eli, Mary and their dogs are forced to work together to find missing people. Will they find love, too? It is a nice twist to have a hero with a phobia, especially a cop. It makes Eli more relatable. Through Bullet, who plays an important role in Eli’s development, Kastner also educates the reader on dog training and their place in police work.
