The second installment in Wisdom's Jazz Tremaine series is full of magic. There are many familiar faces, as well as some intriguing new ones. The subplots help to make this quite an entertaining read.
Witch Jazz Tremaine isn't getting a lot of rest, what with her slipper bunnies being accused of eating Will the carnie wereweasel, and some horribly realistic nightmares. Still, she continues to help Nick Gregory, her vampire P.I. boyfriend, with his cases.
When Nick starts having nightmares too, and Jazz's nightmares enter her waking world to such a degree it affects her magic, she's determined to find out where they're coming from -- with a little help from her friends. (SOURCEBOOKS, Nov., 360 pp., $6.99)
