The fourth book in Freethy’s Angel’s Bay series brings the author’s strengths to the fore. Fans will be pleased to see characters that they have been following continue to evolve. This episode reveals more about the core families in Angel’s Bay, and gives us a lovely romance, with even the villain more to be pitied than censured. It is always fun to visit the little town on the bay.

Isabella, sister to Joe Silveira, chief of police in Angel’s Bay, hadn’t planned on making such a dramatic entrance into town. But when she is rescued from her wrecked car by Nick Hartley, everyone learns her name. More unsettling, Nick is one of the figures she has been seeing in her dreams — dreams of danger that have sent her to see her brother. She feels an electric attraction to Nick, and he feels it too, but he doesn’t want to. Nick is trying to reconnect with his teenage daughter, whom he hasn’t seen in years, and he doesn’t want to be distracted. Isabella’s brother, Joe, is also fully occupied with trying to find a missing mother, and identifying the father of the newborn son she left behind. Just why have Isabella’s dreams drawn her to this place and these people? Only when she begins helping out with the costumes at the local theater do the pieces of the puzzle start lining up.
