Once again, attorney Marissa Suarez has been betrayed by her bad choices in men. Fortunately, she has best friend Jamie Wilson's broad shoulders to cry
on. But suddenly she's feeling more than friendly toward the newspaper columnist. Continuing the story of the stolen White Star jewelry, Hidden Gems (3), by Carrie Alexander, is a mixed bag. It's an exciting and humorous story (the first line is great) with a sympathetic heroine. But the romantic relationship with Jamie feels forced, and the continuity mystery
is somewhat confusing.
