In The High Society Wife (4) by Helen Bianchin, a marriage of convenience
becomes more real by the minute. Gianna and Franco Giancarlo entered into
their arranged marriage willingly and without stars in their eyes -- or so
each would like the other to think. A year later, there is no doubt that the
passionate nights they share are as real as the friendship between them, but
Gianna feels a deep love for her husband, a love that she is certain is not
returned. The return of an old flame of Franco's who seems determined to woo
him away, ups the stakes and before it's too late, both Franco and Gianna
must express their hearts to one another or risk losing what they have grown
to treasure. This is a very satisfying love story that puts an interesting
spin on the "marriage of convenience" plot.
