HIGH-STAKES HOMECOMING (3) by Suzanne McMinn: Penn Ramsey knows he shouldn't have returned to Haven, W.Va. Before leaving New York, he received a text message urging him to stay away. Then, driving to his grandfather's old farmhouse, he almost runs down Willa North, the woman he thought betrayed him 14 years ago. The attraction between them still sizzles, but there's a problem. Penn has a will that states he's inherited the farmhouse, and Willa has one leaving it to her. It appears someone doesn't want either one to inherit anything, however. This latest in the Haven series starts out as if it will be quite suspenseful, then a paranormal element is introduced, and neither strand is fully developed. But if you're looking for a sweet, touching love story, look no further.
