Mary Maclaine accepts Lord Ewan MacCrichtons' offer of marriage, but when she discovers what Ewan has in store for her, she changes her mind. The result bodes ill for Mary.

She is saved by her enemy, Black Duncan Campbell, with a proposal of his own. Under Duncan's protection, Mary will be safe from the devious Ewan. What starts as a marriage in name only evolves into real matrimony. It doesn't prove enough to stop Ewan, however.

Known to have the "sight," Mary soon finds herself living in terror of her nightmares and the possible death of her beloved Duncan.

HIGHLAND TREASURE, a sequel to Highland Secrets, is a marvelous, emotion-packed love story that holds the reader spellbound from beginning to end. A quiet but strong heroine, an arrogant laird and two engaging children who tug at your heart make for a delight. A real treasure and a "keeper." SENSUAL (June, 324 pp., $5.99)
