Book Review

by Dawn Calvert

Genre: Historical Romance, Paranormal
Sensuality: HOT
Setting: Present and Victorian England

RT Rating

Calvert's second novel is deliciously original and bold, the perfect pick-me-up for the wintertime doldrums. It's a romance within a romance with a heroine willing to risk all for love.

In one week, Jane Ellingson screws up at work and with her boyfriend and best friend. Three strikes and she's out! With nothing to lose, Jane makes a fervent wish on a magic stone for a new beginning.

Suddenly, she's a character in a Victorian novel, with a dashing hero, James, as her suitor. Except the hero doesn't move the story. Instead it's the villain and James' brother, Curran, she yearns for. When Jane realizes the author is all about James, she begins to plot her own happy ending, with surprising results.
