Maureen Cooper and her brother Clint have a lot resting on the success of their new endeavor, the Twin Oaks Bed and Breakfast. It's a place where big city people can come and find peace and solace in the Berkshires.

Laurel London has come back to Cooper's Corner to lay to rest some pain from her past. For better or worse, the former foster kid has come looking for closure. State trooper Scott Hunter is shocked when Laurel shows up in town. She left town after the death of his brother Paul and her return brings back many old feelings.

In a wonderfully warm romance, Ms. Quinn nicely sets a stage for an enjoyable new continuity series. She introduces many characters that you will be anxious to learn more about in future books. (Aug., 256 pp., $4.75)
