Ross Ketchum makes his displeasure at hiring Isabella Corrales as HIS DEFENDER (3) very clear—he thinks the murder accusations are groundless and he doesn't like professional women. But when things turn ugly, he is happy to have Isabella by his side—not only for her legal expertise but also for the love he's beginning to feel for her. While the mystery in Stella Bagwell's latest lacks bite, the romance is strong enough to keep readers' attention.
