HIS DUTY TO PROTECT
HIS DUTY TO PROTECT (3) by Lindsay McKenna: While serving in Afghanistan, Army Captain Rachel Trayhern is forced to work closely with Captain Tyler Hamilton, the instructor who almost flunked her out of Apache flight school five years earlier. Tyler’s prejudice against women has deep roots in his childhood, but working with Rachel may bring about a profound change. The plot is strong and the descriptions of the military setting are well researched. However, Rachel’s near-death experience at the beginning of the story overloads the opening pages with background information.
