HIS PLAIN-JANE CINDERELLA
HIS PLAIN-JANE CINDERELLA (3) by Jennie Adams: Former special ops soldier Troy Rushton is the new owner of the processing plant where Stacie Wakefield works as an administrative assistant. An injury derailed his military career, and adjusting to civilian life is difficult. He appreciates Stacey’s ability to focus on his strengths rather than his shortcomings. After being deeply hurt by a former boyfriend, Stacey slowly learns to trust Troy. This novel is a realistic yet enchanting version of a Cinderella story. The characters are likable and the plot is believable. However, their reflections on past disappointments becomes a bit repetitive and slows the story’s pace.
