Candice Poarch's sense of humor permeates His Tempest (4), making it a very enjoyable story. Noelle Greenwood and Colin Mayes meet when they run into one another -- literally -- and she instantly dislikes him before she finds out who he is. Colin is in the Memphis area on business and he's invited to a dinner, unaware that the woman he encountered earlier in the day is too. Poarch's comedic quips -- "he was staring at her as if she was a piece of steak on his plate and he loved red meat" -- enhance the story. Noelle's quest to meet her biological family and Colin's need to overcome his playboy tendencies provide "bumps" for the couple.
