When someone assumes his murdered wifes identity, a police officer has renewed hopes of tracking her killers. But instead of finding a criminal, he discovers a young mother fleeing from an abusive ex. Attracted to her and concerned for her safety, he sticks around, unaware that hes just endangered her. A well-constructed plot and an unexpected ending make Joyce Sullivans IN HIS WIFES NAME (3) a good read, although at times the hero appears self-righteous.
