Leaving his Wyoming home for a fresh start in Washington, Alexi Stepanov hopes to escape the memories of a painful break-up. It isn't long before he meets the attractive Jessica Sterling. But although he's intrigued. Alexi's not ready to let anyone in just yet. In Hold Me Tight (1), Cait London spends way too much time setting a dark and mysterious mood for no apparent reason. Complicated flashback scenes at the beginning of the book fail to prove their worth and eventually lose their point. London describes the hero as a macho alpha, but all this brooding about a jilting that happened three years ago makes him seem kind of wimpy.
