HOME TO LAURA (4.5) by Mary Sullivan: When Nick Jordan travels to his hometown of Accord, Colo., to solve a problem with the ski resort he’s building there, he runs into bakery owner Laura Cameron. Laura was the woman Nick slept with while she was engaged to his brother, ruining their engagement and creating a rift between him and his sibling. But the spark is still there, and after a one-night stand leaves Laura pregnant, Nick is determined to do the right thing and convince her they should be together — while trying to reconcile with his estranged brothers. Sullivan’s well-executed plot points and sparkling dialogue stand out in this excellent read.
