HOME ON THE RANGE
Fox’s latest is an entertaining addition to the Caribou Crossing series. Her main characters are good, but the story moves slowly. Readers will love the interplay between the characters and the beautiful scenery, but those looking for a fast-moving and fast-talking love story will be disappointed. There’s also a bonus prequel novella included.
Jessica Bly’s one magical night with Evan Kincaid, before he left for New York, left her with a broken heart and a secret. Ten years later Evan is back, and the man he has become has her falling for a second time. Evan just wants to complete a mission for his client and then return to New York. But, as the attraction that bloomed in their youth deepens into a love that could last, the secrets they are each keeping may tear them apart for good. (ZEBRA, Aug., 384 pp., $6.99)
