AT HOME IN STONE CREEK (4) by Linda Lael Miller: When he's poisoned while rescuing a kidnapped child, security operative Jack McCall heads back to Stone Creek and BandB owner Ashley O'Ballivan. Even though Jack's already broken her heart -- twice -- Ashley takes him in. Soon it looks like heartbreak No. 3 may be on the horizon. There's a lot standing in the way of a happy ending -- a vengeful criminal, Jack's job -- and the damage the poison has done to him, which makes facing all of his past mistakes a necessity. Humorous, very sexy and spiced with a hint of intrigue, this story's a worthy addition to the O'Ballivan/Stone Creek series.
