For Lucy Sullivan, coming home to Maryland is agony and ecstasy. She loves visiting her family, but a past experience that she never shared with anyone still gives her nightmares. Clay Madison was Lucy’s best friend at one time. Yet something happened that made her shut him out, and Clay would still like to know what it was. As Lucy plans a wedding that will bring fame to her event-planning business and the family inn, she finds herself falling in love with Clay. However, with her business taking off and her home base in California, can she and Clay have a future together? (BALLANTINE, Jun., 400 pp., $7.99)
