HOMECOMING DAY (4) by Holly Jacobs: When her fiancé dies from meningitis shortly before their wedding, art teacher Laura Watson is left pregnant and alone. Police Lt. Seth Keller steps in to help out when they work together to help keep one of Laura’s students, a young girl named JT, out of trouble. Seth ends up coaching Laura through the birth of her son and the two spend a lot of time together. Soon Seth is convinced he’s in love. But like Laura, Seth has his own personal tragedy to overcome: the death of his own wife and child due to pregnancy complications. This is a heartwarming story about the power of second chances. Not only do both Laura and Seth get a second chance at love, but Laura is able to rebuild her relationship with her deceased fiancé’s parents, and Seth is able to restore his strained ties with his parents.
