Book Review

HONEY GROVE
by Genell Dellin

Genre: Mainstream, General Mainstream Fiction

RT Rating

This charming story follows the journey of a grandmother and granddaughter getting reacquainted, learning to love one another again and possibly finding a love of their own along the way. It’s filled with delightfully interesting characters.

After her mother’s funeral Meredith Briscoe heads to Rock Springs, Texas, her grandmother, Lilah, and Honey Grove Farm. Lilah is happy to have her, feeling guilty for missing her childhood and longing to connect with the only family she has left. As for Meri, she longs for the home she never had. Both have some adjustments to make. It’s good that they have friends to help, especially Caleb Burkett, who would like Meri to stay in Texas permanently. (BERKLEY SENSATION, May, 325 pp., $7.99)
