Book Review

THE HOPE OF SPRING
by Wanda E. Brunstetter

Genre: Inspirational, Mainstream

RT Rating

This is the third installment in Brunstetter’s Discovery series. It is best to read the books in order, as this one does not provide a lot of “refresher” details. The main characters continue to be strong, and readers will rush to the story’s cliffhanger ending.

Meredith Stoltzfus almost lost her baby — the last connection to Luke, her husband. She was recently notified that he died in an accident and Meredith worries that she may need to sell her house. Her friend Jonah buys Luke’s horse to help Meredith financially. His family worries that he is getting too close to Meredith too quickly. Meanwhile, “Eddie” is still in a coma, related to the serious injuries he sustained in a beating. Nurse Susan Bailey believes he will have a medical breakthrough soon. Will she be able to discover Eddie’s true identity? (BARBOUR, Apr., 128 pp., $6.99)
