HOPE'S CHILD (4.5) by Helen R. Myers: After the death of her fiance, Hope Alessandro Harrell puts a proposal before her good friend, police chief Lyon Teague. She wants him to marry her in order to protect her soon-to-be-born child from her ruthless father and the greedy hands of her late fiance's family. In return, she can help salvage his reputation, which has been unfairly tainted. Lyon accepts; he has deep feelings for Hope and always has. Though they enter a marriage of convenience, it is far from so, as their true feelings surface. Good storytelling, genuine, endearing characters with real troubles and a tender story about true love make this one not to pass up.

This was a sweet story. I really enjoyed Hope and Lyon and the cast of characters around them. The plot was so so, but was passable. There really wasn't enough conflict in the story to really satisfy me.
