The overarching plot continues to thicken in Singh's extraordinary series as dangerous new players emerge. One of the greatest pleasures of these books is their ability to deliver both an intensely personal love story as well as a riveting societal drama. Singh is on the fast track to becoming a genre giant!

Brilliant Psy scientist Ashaya Aleine has spent her whole life hiding
several huge secrets. Forced by the
Psy Council into research she abhors, unless she can find a way to rescue her young son, Ashaya is trapped. That opportunity arrives when Ashaya helps the changelings rescue several kidnapped
children. Her price: They must rescue her son Keenan.

Changeling sniper Dorian Christensen's inner leopard is unable to manifest physically, something he has always fought to overcome. Dorian harbors great hatred for the Psy due to the murder of his sister. But both the leopard and the man find Ashaya fascinating, and when she takes an extraordinary risk to escape the Council, they will fight to the death
to protect both her and her son. (BERKLEY SENSATION, Sep., 352 pp., $7.99)

This is a wonderful book. The plot is good and a couple of threads from previous books are tied. If you have read the previous books in the series, you will be happy to read Dorian's story. The heroine of the tale is Ashaya Aleine. Both played roles in previous books and now we see how they come together.

Ashaya is seeking safety for her son and calls in a favor from DarkRiver. Judd is conflicted as he has ample reason to hate the Psy. However, he can't get and doesn't want to get Ashaya off his mind.

There is plenty of action and deep emotion in this tale of two people learning each other and fighting to survive.
