The name Garwood is synonymous with stories that are packed with danger, passion and humor — all of which combine in an outstanding reading experience. The horrors of sexual harassment are taken to a dangerous extreme as this heroine’s decision to fight back could cost her life. An excellent cast of characters rounds out this tale of childhood neighbors discovering a love that won’t be denied. It’s terrific!

When they were kids, Finn MacBain saved Peyton Lockhart from drowning. He later went on to win Olympic gold in swimming. These days, Finn is an FBI agent and Peyton has just quit a job where she was sexually harassed. She has evidence and is thinking about taking action when her Uncle Len offers Peyton and her sisters, Lucy and Ivy, a proposition: If they can make a profit at the Bishop’s Cove oceanfront resort, they will own it. The sisters know it will be a challenge but they are game. However, on her way there, Peyton’s car is shot at. Not sure what to do, Peyton contacts Finn for help. Finn is infuriated by Peyton’s story, and determined to help. What he doesn’t expect is to find that little Peyton has grown up sexy! (DUTTON, Aug., 368 pp., $26.95)
