RT Rating

This fantastic, thrilling story will leave you breathless. Andre has created wonderful characters with believable, detailed pasts that clearly and logically inform their present actions and emotions. Particularly noteworthy is the heroine's sister, who refuses to remain a victim. The sexual tension between Sam and Dianna is palpable, without feeling overdrawn. Readers will root for the couple as they reach the heart-stopping, action-packed final scenes.

Sam MacKenzie battles wildland fires and tries to forget the woman who ran out on him 10 years ago. Dianna Kelley, now a famous TV talk-show host, learns that her sister April has been kidnapped. Sam offers to help her, despite their tragic past. As they make their way through the treacherous Rockies to find April, Dianna and Sam stay on guard to not let their passion for each other get the better of them. But that soon becomes a losing battle. (DELL, Dec., 335 pp., $7.99)
