Readers rejoice - it's time for another wacky chapter in the adventures of everyone's favorite bounty hunter, Stephanie Plum! As most of you will remember, High Five, the last installment in the series, ended with a major cliffhanger: Which man was outside of Stephanie's door waiting to be invited in?
Well, my lips are sealed, which means you'll have to read the book to find out.
As if Stephanie' s life isn't complicated enough, her Grandma Mazur has had a fight with Stephanie's father and moved out of the house into Stephanie's apartment. Things go from bad to worse when both the police including sexy cop Joe Morelli and Cousin Vinnie start hunting for legendary bounty hunter, Ranger, who apparently was the last person to see Homer Ramos alive. When Stephanie does run into Ranger, he asks her to watch Ramos' house, and Steph is soon literally out on a limb.
Between Grandma Mazur driving her nuts, being tailed by a pair of hired thugs, getting conned into custody of a dog named Bob and her usual bad luck with cars, Stephanie has her hands full. Rest assured she will handle it all with her usual flair!
Janet Evanovich has a gift for delivering unabashed humor and intriguing suspense. This is one remarkable series that just keeps improving with age! (Jun., 320 pp., $24.95)
